We want mellowstitch.com to be usable by as many people as possible, including people who browse with a screen reader, a keyboard only, or with text and zoom settings turned up.

What we aim for

We work towards the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as our target. We are not claiming full conformance — this is the standard we build against and test against.

What we have done

• Product images have alternative text describing the design.
• Pages use real headings in order, so a screen reader can navigate by structure.
• The site works at 200% browser zoom and reflows on small screens.
• Menus, buttons, the cart and checkout can be reached and operated with a keyboard.
• Text and background colours are chosen for readable contrast.
• Form fields have visible labels, and errors are described in text rather than colour alone.

Known limitations

Some parts of this site come from third parties — the payment provider’s checkout fields, for example — and we do not control their code. If one of these blocks you, tell us and we will help you complete your order another way.
